Were you like me? You'd build the kit as per the instructions. Then immediately start modifying it? At first, using only the extra bricks provided in the set (if there were any) and eventually bastardizing it completely with bricks from random sets to perfect the imagine in you head?

I really want the trains. Always have. But The prices, especially on the used 9volt one, are brutal. Like you wont touch a basic locomotive and a couple of cars oval for less than $120.
LEGO trains make post war Lionel look cheap.
