I enjoyed the camaraderie of the mens gymnastics team. And Nedorosik deserves the nerves of steel award for sitting there all day waiting for his one big moment.

I saw the stories about Coco Cauff getting screwed over for the fourth time for the same issue. Things need to change in Tennis.
Not sure she would have won had she gotten the call, but it's still a major embarrassment.
On the theme of judges- watching the US men's gymnastics, seems that they were down scored a few times- as if the old days of we all know who will win was already there. Really makes is hard to watch subjective sports when you see some apparent imbalance in the scoring.
She remarked on that in an interview after and acknowledged that it may not have helped but that it was still a E36 M3ty situation

An understatement. My nerves would be shot after that.

What an ending to that game!!! Looked like all was lost until that ending. Wow!
So even instant replay isn't perfect- am watching a replay of a beach volleyball game, and there was a requested review for touching the net. And the review called the net touch based on the video camera placement and it *seemed* like the net was touched. But another view showed that he didn't come close to the net. Basically, the camera placement was not good enough.

I tried to figure it out for my son earlier today, but kept getting met with "create this account" or "subscribe to this service" nonsense. Trying to find a time when it would be broadcast over the air was futile as well..
I'm not a sportsy kinda person, so I'm pretty ignorant to all this stuff but my 9 year old wanted to check it out.
I have Peacock for IMSA, so I have access to all the sports, but outside of that the options appear to be sliiiiim. And even with Peacock, the interface is just an absolute embarrassment. It's like finding something in Lowe's. Sure they may technically have everything, but you can't actually find anything.

And it's a real shame they can't get it right- NBC/ Peacock are the only ones who show some of these sports outside of the Olympics. For them to mess up on the big sports is horrible for a company that's spending the most money paying for the games.

It seems as though all the streaming platforms have absolutely E36 M3 UI/UX design.
Like JFC they have literal UI/UX design specialists, hire the coders to make the changes.......now you're product doesn't suck so bad.
Watching Katie Ledecky in the women's 1500m Freestyle. Amazing.
1000m to go, so early, but she has body lengths ahead of #2 & #3. Near 10m as of now

Olympic record by 5-ish seconds.

When my mother was in high school they played 6on6 with essentially 3on3 on each end of the court. She said it was super fast paced.

Easy there. Lets not get the thread locked.
Yeah, because the vocal observer is the real bad guy in this situation. 🤣🤘🏻
And with that I'll say no more on the subject.
Skateboarding, especially Olympic skateboarding, is entirely too technical for me these days. I'm building a new board, my first new board ever, so I can carve at the local park, maybe crack a rad Ollie over a curb or something.

Just because an observer is vocal doesn't mean they're well informed.

Start a new thread if you must.
Man, I love watching Simone Biles. She makes it look so damn effortless. Suni Lee isn't far behind her either
How many events do you tell yourself you can easily do? But we know we can't?
Curling (winter Oly)? Give me a few hours? I can throw that rock. Sweep that ice?
Uneven bars ? It's all about the momentum, right? Those horses can't be too hard, just need strong wrists?
Any shooting event?
