Well, not exactly, but still pretty cool.
This morning, I was in the garage/driveway doing what I do best, which is checking the tire pressures in the fleet. Suddenly, my daughter rushes out screaming that there's something in the backyard. While it wasn't a tiger as she feared, it was, in fact, a pretty large bobcat.
I got a very good, very long look at it about thirty feet from me, hanging out in the middle of the empty yard, looking all bobcatty, with its stubby tail and pointy ears . By the time my daughter came back with the camera, it had started making its way toward the brush, so the photos don't do it justice.
But it was big. And it was a bobcat. This may explain why the coyote hasn't been back...
That post is a 4x4 that sticks out 42 inches from the ground.
That is cool!
I saw an ad ~10 years ago for someone selling bobcat kittens as pets, and thinking
Oh no you don't. Them's some mean critters!
I'm sure they're always that cute and cuddly...
It's still pwetty kitteh!!!! WANT!!!

For truth. You'd probably be safer owning a rabid dog.

We have to remember who we're dealing with here. Mr. Halftrac is not known for bouts of sanity on a regular basis.

A lot of the ones around here will nap in the outdoor furniture in the back yard under the patios. But you still don't mess with them! You'd have better luck taming a coyote.

I've removed all of the words that preceded this awesome idea you just had.
This one has been deemed as fake, then true, then fake.... but it still is an eerie thought. A guy shot his game, then set up his camera on a timer to capture it and got this: (have no idea if its real or not)

Hand raised bobcat's are actually pretty friendly, I know a couple that has 3 of them. The first they found as a kitten on the driveway, thought it was just a little bit older bigger normal kitten.
Turned out to be a 4 week old bobcat. The big one can mess up your life if you piss him off though.

I'm pretty sure a coyote living in my back yard would keep the damn kids off my damn lawn.
Yeah, Bobcats can tear E36M3 up, but they are handy to have around. I'd like one.
You likely won't have any sort of a squirrel/rodent problem in the near future.

It seems that wolves are better for crossbreeding but there are some "pet" coyotes and crossbreds here in Tucson. But even here the wolf crosses are more popular.
^Comments from a guy that grew up here, not mine.
My aunt and uncle had a bobcat/cat hybrid of some sort. It looked like an interesting kitty, but that growl ... wow!
