Wind chill in the 30's tonight. Not much sympathy from those of us a bit farther north.

I was there for the Taurus launch last summer... beautiful country.

Meh, -30s is nuthin' up here. If the snow squeaks under foot, your boogers freeze, and your car barks when you start it up... that's cold.

I guess that means that the Iguanas will start falling out of the trees again.

OMFG the low will be 23 F at chez Jensen Saturday night!!! Oh how will we survive? I know!!! (runs outside and cranks up every carbon emitting piece of equipment he owns)

I grew up in Columbia where it isn't unusual to hit the low teens or high single digits several times each winter and on more than one occasion 0 or slightly below, -4 is the lowest I can recall. Down here at the coast 23 is considered the Ice Age. I'm about 10 miles inland, the beaches will probably see mid 30's and the residents will whine like crazy.

I ran out to help a customer who is a medical doctor this afternoon. It was ~25* out and was snowing sideways with about [.....] that much visibility. The boy had a conniption when I ran out in my short sleeve shirt for 30 seconds. He swore I was going to die from the cold. I reminded him that I was equipped with a heavy meat parka but I promised him in two years I would be wearing a windbreaker.

The forecast calls for snow in Dallas tomorrow again. If they let me off work early, I'm going to walk my huskies.

I'm one of the ones that don't. The control board went out in my furnace the other day. It's supposed to be 27* here tonight. Dammit.

Uh average temp around here for the last month has been below 20 degrees. The high has been maybe 30 and the low was around -20 (Jan is normally colder here) I walk around most of the time in a T shirt and jeans. If I wear a jacket it is normally a fairly light one. Only time the temp gets to me is when I'm tired, if I'm tired I feel the cold more otherwise I'm just fine. My girlfriend keeps telling me I must have an internal furnace that is cranked up to the max because she is always freezing her butt off in this weather.

Last weekend on my way to go surfing at 6a.m. this little snow flake thingy poped up on the dash of my mini to warn me of the possibility of ice. Apparently it happens whenever the air temp gets down to 36 degrees. First time ive ever seen that happen.

That was some cold surfing till the sun broke through the morning clouds. Maybe next weekend ill leave at 7. Or maybe i should just quit being cheap and get a wet suite like everyone else, the spring suite with holes in it just doesnt do much. Hardly even blocks the wind.

" I guess that means that the Iguanas will start falling out of the trees again. " Yup, three footer in my yard. I heard the "thunk" looked out, he shook himself off and wandered slowly away. Islanders say they taste like chicken, maybe I should check that out.

It may be caused by turtles and brussels sprouts:
