Put down and buried my father's Bombay today. Amelia lived a long life, traveled from Mass to Florida, and back to NJ over a 15 year lifespan. In that time she was also hit by a car and became one of the most loyal and loving critters I ever got to enjoy.
Goodnight dear friend..
Damn, sorry to hear that. RIP Amelia...

Sorry to hear. We had to put our 18 year old a couple weeks ago and I still look for him laying on the sofa when I come home.

My thoughts are with you folks. Sorry to hear the news.
I am so sorry for your loss. You have my condolences. It's gonna be a sad sad day when I have to say my final goodbye to my Bombay. He is the sweetest, most loyal and intelligent cat I have ever had the pleasure to hang out with. He's my little buddy.
So sorry - It stinks and it sucks but it's our end of the bargain. We helped our beloved 17 year old Trixie out when she ran out of kidneys and good days going on 2 years ago and lasted about 6 weeks before 2 slightly used cats moved in.
Gus and Izzy (Angus and Isetta, like the BMW) are a goddamned riot.
So celebrate the long loving time you had with Amelia and remember that there's a bunch of cats out there just waiting show you how cute and funny they are. And to barf on the rug where you'll find it on the way to the bathroom in the middle of the night.

Sorry to hear it. That's always tough to go through.
Condolences on the loss of your buddy & family member...
did not take my Father long.. he went down to the local Humane Society and they had just gotten a litter of Bombay's in. One female and 4 boys.. in a week after she has had all her shots and been fixed, he can bring her home. She is so tiny, you can hold her in the palm of your hand.
His last two Bombay's came from shelters.. they seem to be a hard breed for them to adopt out. Nobody wants black cats except to do nefarious things to them
