My tool design teacher was accurate with the chalk too. John Stratton - Irish guy about 5'2 tall. He was super nice unless you were talking in his class.
It was my 6th and 7th grade English teacher, who was also the pitching coach. He would start with chalk, and after a couple of offenses, move up to a dusty blackboard eraser. You'd see a kid at the end of the day, still walking around with a white rectangle on his shirt and a vaguely antiqued look.
Mr. Pierson was fair, though - if you caught it, you could nail it back at him.

One day in high school band, our conductor threw his baton at a kid back in the percussion section who was goofing off. Literally parted his hair with the thing, I had to stop playing as I was laughing so hard.
