To answer the question about the life expectancy of the "fainting" kittens - they have a genetic disorder called myotonia congenita aka fainting goat disease. It essentially is a muscular condition that causes your muscles to tense up at the same time and usually doesn't release for 20 seconds or more. It can cause fatal respiratory problems. The first two kittens that appear in a lot of these videos are already no longer with us.
