yeah, those scrubs in a bucket are awesome for times when you don't have water around. Local pick-n-pull has them at the cashier so you can clean up on the way out.

Nitrile gloves, soap and water here.
One of the benefits from my wife being a vet (other than her clinic buying my gloves) is that I get her cast off surgical scrubs.
While there may be some benefit out of any iodine left in the sponge if you have bloodied your knuckles, the scrub side really effective without being as hard on your hands as a stiff bristled brush.
And it has a nail pick!
I use Atlantic Black Lightning nitriles usually, but when hands get dirty I use either GOJO(when in the farm shop) or Fast Orange elsewhere.
I can't stand wearing gloves when I'm working.
I've found good old fashioned goop to work well and it's cheep.

Sounds a lot like the stuff we have at work, which is the most effective that I've used to date. I'll try and remember to check what its called next time I'm in the pisser.
Fast Orange is probably my favorite of the readily available name brands. Dish soap work OK, but I really prefer something with grit in it. I've got an uncanny ability to attract dirt and grease to my body if I'm even remotely near to it, so the abrasive action of grit soaps really helps. I also have yet to find a disposable glove that lasts more than 5 minutes for me in the garage, so I've pretty much given up on them all together.
Whatever I get free from work usually works best. Right now I have a gallon of some citrus based cleaner with synthetic scrubbers that works well.
The hand cleaner towels are awesome. They are good for cleaning dashboards as well, no messy shiny residue.
