Got one on my left arm that's annoying me. Suggestions, other than a really sharp knife and a bottle of booze?

Nothing otc I tried ever worked. Booze and knife!

Yes, they do work and it doesn't hurt at all. It does take a few days to a couple weeks depending on the size. I think I used Dr. Scholls. Don't cut it out.

The thing that freezes them works great, but you have to leave it there longer than the package says is safe. Helps if you cool it down a little with an ice cube before you freeze it to give it a head start.

Yep freezing them works. It's not painless, but really doesn't hurt much. I just used a can of cO2 upside down.

the ones I had laughed at the OTC stuff.. but then that was 30 years ago and I had three dozen on my left knee. Liquid CO2 took care of them

Yep, the Freeze Away stuff works. Doesn't hurt too much. It will be a bit tender for a few days, week or two later will start to fall off.

Light a stick match. Blow it out and immediately jam it into the wart and hold it there as long as you can. By which, I mean until it's cold. Or, you could probably just heat up the head of a nail and use that, but I've never tried that one.

Had one on my foot like that- wife was convinced I had some sort of self injury disorder. Sumbitch never came back, though.

Liquid nitrogen and a q-tip.

I had a dairy farmer friend who did all mine. Usually just a handy wood splinter and a rag that he dipped into the big can that keeps the bull semen cold. Worked every time but I sure had some holes afterward

I had a plantar wart on the bottom of my right foot. It really hurt, and I had to get rid of it. I bought an OTC remedy that required these small disks that that adhered to the wart area. It took a few weeks, but it went away, and never came back.

I used a toenail clippers to remove a wart on my fingers once - pretty fast and not quite as pain inducing as it sounds.

I had a small one on the bottom of my foot many years ago. Hurt like hell and the OTC stuff didn't seem to touch it. Ended up using fingernail clippers to grab it and rip it out. Hurt like hell! Had about 1/2inch of roots attached to it that came out with the wart. Never came back though!

I've used the little disk foot pad things with good results, duct taped them on. Heard that Listerine might actually take them off from my aunt who tried it.

Nope.

True story, I tried everything OTC AND having a doctor freeze it off. Nothing worked, it always came back.

Then I scheduled laser surgery, and it went away on it's own before the appointment. Laser surgery is apparently so effective, it scares them away at just the idea!

Had one on my foot.

Heres the procedure. Trim away all the skin you can stand with nailclippers, then judiciously use the freeze-away type product. Just stick that sucker on there and leave it until its not cold anymore. Yes, you are freeze-burning it off. Wash rinse repeat in two weeks or so if its not gone.

Yes, it does zing a bit. That said, I have tried the acid ones and freezing isnt as nasty.

Had one on my finger as a kid, tried the OTC acid crap to burn it off, tried fingernail clippers, never worked. Wen to the doc and had him freeze it of with liquid nitrogen, came back again, had the doc freeze it off again, never came back.

I just used the Dr Scholl's pad/disk that turns your skin bleached white. I used it twice for the wart on my thumb that was there for over a year. I waited for the color to return before starting the second go around. And it did take a week or two. There's acid in the pad that kills it.

The acid route is slow torture and marginally effective. Freezing usually gets rid of them, but not always, and is far less annoying. Your doctor can burn them off which seems to be 100% effective, but it smells bad and leaves a scar.
