This car is neither a P71 or pretty, discuss amongst yourselves.

I sortof like it...but the car has nothing to do with the article.
according to the article P71 prices should be going down soon because the municipalities are dropping about 231 more cars on the market...spread over every major city, that is a huge influx of P71 4.6 liter RWD Comfy goodness.
That's just confused looking?
The article is typical gubernment BS still, slash fleets to "save money" then buy new cars with tax dollars to "stimulate economy". Sigh
How do we know that it is cop cars being cut? There are tons of city and state vehicles that are non-police.

Crown Vics in my neck of the woods are often used by other agencies besides the police, like fire departments and NH's environmental department. Thay have P71 spotting details like police rims, spotlights, and black-out grilles, so I assume they are P71s and not bluehair-spec Vics. I'm not sure, however, if they all entered their current role new or if they were originally patrol cars. I know some have since I've seen P71s for sale that had served as fire chief cars for their entire service life.
It would be neat if it weren't so overdone. A nice smoothed bumper, 1" skirts instead of 5" and a nice 2" drop.
But the rice wing and body-kit bumpers just make me want to hurl.
I dig the front bumper but that machine needs to be black and have the P71 honeycomb grille. The spoiler needs to go.
black out the grill and mirrors. add a pair of light grey stripes down the center line (not on the nose, hood back only!) and some better wheels...
