Just checked. Dreadnaught geetar in soft case: fits. I don't have a hard case to use to check.
Golf bag: not fits. I think the reason is that the opening is smaller, it looks as if the bag would fit if you could get it in there. Might fit if I pulled all the longest whacking sticks and stuck with the irons only in the bag. I have now exhausted my golfing knowledge.

Good news that the guitar fits; to me that is the most important as I rarely drive anyone but myself when I go to play golf or hockey.

And yet there's an emergency release inside the trunk...
