Looks like a brand new design for 2025 is coming to the Keystone State, and the first redesign in over 20 years.  So long to the blue and yellow.

Tennessee has so many different cosmetic plates. I'm personally a fan of the fish:

Not a fan. It's looks like a Phillies throwback jersey had a baby with a license plate.

I agree.  The lack of a keystone anywhere on it is really disappointing.

Well, just shifted some of my old antique and classic plates around so these fugly new tags won't find their way onto 3 of my vehicles. smiley Wife has a personalized tag on her car so that may exempt us on that one.

I liked the previous ones as they still utilized the colors from the old 'annual' plates. We can also use YOM plates on older stuff but they make us pay mightily for the privilege.

I'm lucky to still have one purple antique tag and white classic tag, both being used. (samples; not mine)

Texas has more than 450 varieties of plate styles for a person to choose from. Some people put a lot of thought into it and come up with some neat options.

I tend to get the basic antique plates because it's just 50 bucks for five years worth of registration. Not the prettiest, but it's nice to save the money.

Texas had one of the coolest license plates in the country and then went and ruined it with this:

Standard license plates

I'm so glad I lived there when I did.  I still have some of the "cool plates" from my cars.

I like a little variety and am in need of a new PA plate soon.

Only 5 characters on a handicapped plate so I was gonna go with:

"SOLO4"

now you got me considering:

"ZPRHD"

Minnesota is up to around 130.   The latest is a black plate with white lettering; they can look good on the right car, but they also cost an extra $30/year so I'm not interested.  I'm still annoyed that they don't use stamped plates with raised lettering anymore.

Sometimes change is good.  The classic blue back round with yellow letter or the yellow back round with blue letters might be a bit tired.

Colorado has a bunch - and they just released a black with white throwback one. They're a $25/year surcharge (I think) and they're absolutely everywhere. There's also a red and white throwback as well as the classic green mountains with white sky (as opposed to the current white mountains with green sky), but you pretty much only see the black.

We still get stamped plates if you get a regular one. Anything custom or different is printed.
