Awesome news! What did you settle on for the official name of the brew?

Um. I would like to point out that there is a significant difference between "prohibition" and recklessly putting others lives at risk on public roadways.
That is all.

We're still a bit uncertain. We are calling the barrel aged version "Uber Wintern" but leaning towards "Yule Steiner" for the regular beer.
That is AWESOME!!!!! Bravo, sir!
Winter beers rule. Nothing like a nice, rich beer like that during a cold holiday party.
I was SO wishing you meant Columbus, GA!
Congratulations!!
(IIRC, it wasn't that long ago you were ready to give up on beer and find a job!)
I'll take a keg shipped to Florida, just got my kegerator setup and running.
But seriously congrats, having something so personal to you being reviewed and loved, and even making money must be pretty awesome.
Coolness.
I hope that it takes off, and I will put in a word or two with the two beer houses here in town.
I stopped by on my way home and picked up a growler of it. I didn't try bothering you, figuring you were either on your way home or getting ready for it. I tried a sample (wow, they're tight with their samples! ;-) and it was very good. I'll let you know more once I dig into the growler.
Color me jealous of the Ohioans. That first post pretty much described a perfect beer for my tastes.
Other than that.... congratulations man!

Any idea about what time? I can try to be around.
CONGRATS!
I have a good buddy who just moved to Columbus I'll be sending by for some soon.
How do you get on the list for reserving a bottle or three of the barrel aged version and what's the aging timeline?

Yeah, send your buddy our way!
We have a barrel aging party this coming Monday. That will let each participant reserve 2 bottles. Aging timeline... is kind of up in the air. Barrel aging is not an exact science. It will be anywhere from 4-9 months. After that, we may release it right away, but are more likely to put them in storage and release each year's batch of barrel aged beer around this time.
Seriously man, congratulations!
Now, next year they're going to let you make more so you can share, right?
Assuming there are any barrel bottles left to the common folk, what are chances that people not in Ohio with a penchant for unobtainable beer ( namely me) can get their hands on some? I am not above bribery.

Most definitely. We were unsure whether 2 batches would be too much or just about enough. We decided to err on the side of being sure people couldn't get quite enough in the wider market this year, to build the buzz of it for next year (and be sure we weren't sitting on kegs taking up cooler space for a year). Next year we will be doing at least two batches, and maybe more if we are clever and do some pre-orders.

I'll let people know and see what I can do. There absolutely will not be enough to distribute widely. I could potentially be talked into shipping a couple bottles out to individuals, but I need to see what the final yield ends up as. I will definitely let you all know when that day comes.
In reply to Beer Baron:
Just let me know where to send the growler
and for future reference, I will gladly empty ANY kegs to free up the cooler space you speak of.

Please do. Besides myself, I have a few local friends into craft brews.
I now have visions of finding a black Trans Am and doing a banzai run across PA for forbidden beer.
I stopped by last Friday and can attest that it is worth drinking. (I plan on stopping in more often)
A friend and I polished off the growler and it was really tasty! Big, bold, and flavorful, with just a hint of the Belgian sour yeast flavor. Yum. Also, not super helpful for the productivity level when hanging drywall and drinking an 8%+ beer.
