Turned into the lower body copper color from this car. Just the copper. Nothing else. No numbers, stripes, nada. Unless your idea is more awsome than my simple single color idea.

It would be much easier to change the color of a car with one color and no decals (plain white would be easiest). Any alternative pics that could work?

Thank you. Pretty much what i needed. The race car has the shape i needed for the flares. I just couldn't picture it in the copper color.

I kinda dig it.

Those fender flares look to me like 55gal drums could be cut properly and welded into place to achieve this look.

Another thought would be plastic 55 gal drums which would be lighter weight then riveted to the metal body. Some body filler over the seam and then repaint.

In both the cases, you would get the clean finished lip of the drum on the outside edge.

Now that I have decided where im going, the 55 gallon drum sounds like a perfect plan.

Other option is 1/4 rod bent to shape with water heater metal scabbed in, or fiberglass.
