Yea...it was a slow drive home.
Honey, can I use the Mercedes for a little bit?
Why?
To get some car parts. (that are assembled into roughly race car shaped schiess-box).
I bought back my former daily driver Amaranth Red '84 900 Turbo. Sadly, its a parts car now. This car deserved better.
6 years ago when it was in regular use:
I towed a couple of projects for friends over the past few weeks. Both of them were cars I wish were mine instead. First was a very low mileage FD that had been off the road for many years:
Second was this one owner 900 base sedan:
I guess that I'm going small-bore production vintage racing next year. It's been a race car since 1977 and I have 4 full logbooks to prove its pedigree. Will be a long winter doing the tear-down and rebuild, but should be fun, even if it will be the slowest car I've ever raced.
My existing hydroplane was lonely. This one is less of a project than the last but still needs some lovin.

Oh no you didn't?!
I can only refuse a free c3 for so long.
Before :
My $1000 supercharged Miata. Popped up in Facebook Memories because I bought it six years ago today. I've spent another $1000 on it since then and still get a lot of enjoyment for a minimal cash outlay.....

I see your dilemma. Rallycross build? Please?
We'll see how it looks when I get it home and cleaned up. No idea the condition of the birdcage.
