The only bad thing is the 5x108 bolt pattern the hubs have.

Considering the tractor he has int he pictures, I'd assume that isn't the issue.

Even a place zoned for five-acre lots have neighbors, some of whom may be a real PITA. The tractor has a load bucket on it which says landscaper, not farmer.

All my neighbors are cool with the Lincoln episode and most of them dropped in last Sunday when I slaughtered the car. Everybody was sad to see the car get cut up but understood.

The whole event was over and the carcass was hauled off before the end of the day. No Jackson hillbilly mess was left in the driveway. I'm sort of in a rural area on a privately owned road so no outside traffic witnessed the event.

The pimp'n Lincoln before it met the sawzall and tractor.

Too bad you couldn't have yanked out the guts, dropped in a carb'd 350, and taken it to the local circle track for kicks.

Hell, I don't live out in the country and I wouldn't have any reservations about cutting up a car on my property. Give a damn what neighbors think.

I've swapped transmissions and rebuilt an engine in front of Moms house with no off street parking.

Yeah, this car was perfect for a push-rod V8. The original DOHC 3.9 V8 was massive. Plenty of space for almost any type of engine in the bay. Normally it takes a backyard mechanic a few days to get the 3.9 out.... I said berkeley that and just cut the frame rails at the firewall.

Technically the engine is still in the car.

Depends on the neighbors. When I'm working on a car, the neighbors come over to shoot the bull so nobody cares. If you do a little searching on this BB, whole threads have been written in the past about cranky neighbors and police intercession. Some people were even cited. Many times, the car(s) in question weren't even visible from the street. So not giving a damn can turn into a court appearance and a hefty fine.
