I saw that too. gotta be canoe...
The photos got updated. NOW it looks like a Alfa 916 Spider, and the house looks New England-ish enough. I think the posting is legit, but I'm not so sure the car itself is. I know of one other MA resident with an (older) 916-chassis Spider who claims it's legalized, but he may just mean on a state level. AFAIK, 916-chassis GTVs and Spiders are still not federally legal for importation and registration.

I'm not seeing a delusional seller, but I can imagine many delusional buyers. Elans are sought after enough and worth enough that some one will buy it.
Here is a 1987 944 Turbo. Looks like it is good shape. Black with burgundy interior. Low miles.
Now for the delusional part....the guy is asking $22,900 for it. Either he is out of his mind or I am.

I saw one show up near here, not quite as nice of a shape but still not bad (http://lexington.craigslist.org/cto/4720353239.html), and it was only like $6500.
This better be a typo, or else half a million doesn't get you much these days:

Big difference between a beater 951 and a very nice low mileage one. I'm not saying the nice one is a 22k car, but it's worth a lot more than a beater. That being said I sold my last beater 951 for 4k, so maybe the 6500 one is also overpriced.
I think I found the new mid engine corvette, I kinda like it http://tampa.craigslist.org/hil/cto/4717479246.html

seller said: The rear bonnett was designed to look hideous and block all rearward visibility

Yay, it has a turbo! Lot of good it does with no engine.
Dude another out of romero! I hope he gets more. The good thing is that this one breaks, and does Ron.

Clearly the badge on the passenger side of the trunk does not belong to whoever wrote that ad...
Are we including hilariously obvious scams in this thread? Because in Atlanta:
This was either gonna be a smoking-hot deal or a straight-up con job. I actually sent an email just out of curiosity, and the email I got back only said, "Call me"
Did some digging and found out the seller is actually a high school girl, but I was able to grab a screenshot of the ad before she took it down...
