Faces, I can generally remember, but I have a hell of a time remembering where the face is from, if its out of context- for example, I see someone I met at the race track in the mall.
Numbers...A few years ago, we went from having to dial a 7 digit number to 10. I have a bitch of a time with that.
Names disappear as soon as I walk through a door.
Hmm. I'm very comfortable with talking with strangers who come up to me and know me. I can carry on a conversation with that person easily, and have no idea who they are. Just follow the conversational cues and let the discussion go where it may.
I can't count the number of times after we part (always on good terms) that my wife asks me who that person was, and I tell her I have no idea. Though maybe she's realized if I never say their name, I really don't know who they are.
Maybe I'm actually more face blind than I realize.
Great with voices…I can even consistently discern lineage.
Me = So and so must be your dad.
So and so’s son = How did you know that.
Me = I clearly hear elements of your dad’s voice when you speak.
Average with faces.
Poor with names…I’ve taught statistics to 3,500 people at my company so folks are always saying hello to me in the halls and I just respond with “hi buddy” and “how’s it going pal” – hahaha.
Great with numbers…people are always saying “how the hell did you calculate that in your head”.
Horrible with spelling…poor performing third graders could easily hand me my ass in a Spelling Bee.
Can’t stand clutter…I’m including this as I suspect it’s related to my being intensely spatial which probably drives a lot of the other things we’re talking about.

I get a lot of that also. But, 28 years of teaching school with 200 new students each year is the root cause. Made even worse by the fact that I taught them in middle school.
I recognize the face in about 1 in 10 cases and remember the name in 25% of those. Otherwise, I ask their name and even then I'm still blank most of the time.
Reviving this one, mostly for the fun of it.
It's been interesting these past few months learning just how face blind I apparently really am. Honestly, I had no idea.
Mostly it's become apparent in watching movies with my wife and son. Scene changes and I've no idea if it's the same character or not. I thought that was normal. Yea, it's a blond woman (or whatever), but without gross differences, I can't tell them apart. Never have. God help me when a character does something like cuts their hair part way through a movie. No wonder movies like God Father just baffle. I can't tell any of the characters apart in a movie like that.
Wife has taken to asking me who a person is after we meet someone, and many times I don't know. I'll be quite surprised when she says they aren't strangers, they are just people out of context. Out of context and I cannot place them. Even when she explains who they are, I frequently can't quite put it together.
Interesting.
I have a touch of it. I am sure people sometimes think me rude, but it is just the way I am. Thinking about it, I could not even describe to you my Mom's face, and I just saw her a couple of hours ago. I can tell you how tall, her size, even what clothes she was wearing, but not her face
This is a thing? Like an actual thing? Wow, life suddenly makes a bit more sense. I'm rather distinct looking, yet people who I interact with even on a fairly regular basis don't realize it's me until I start talking or walking. Apparently, I've had a distinctive walk since I was a small child.
I'm personally terribly with names and faces after a while. I can remember peoples names for years, but show me a recent picture and I'll have no idea who they are. Other times, I could swear that's you from across the bar, until I come up and say hi, and realize you are definitely not who I thought you were. I had attributed this to concussions and drug use in my teenage years, but even as a child these things didn't really click. Visiting job sites with my dad, and seeing a lot of builders everywhere, I could never keep them straight.
Cars, dogs, oddly computer parts, I can ID in my sleep. I don't want to say it's like looking at the kids in Pink Floyds The Wall, with no faces, but similar. I see people, but if I ever had to give a description to a forensic artist they'd be SOL.
I can follow movies and tv shows at least, which I didn't realize so many people couldn't or had to really concentrate to do.
Huh. Learn something new every day.
I just took one of the online tests. I am perfectly normal.
my wife on the other hand, is apparently a savant.
I took an online test as well- I too am "normal". A term I use very loosely.
