I got to drive my Dad's car around Hutchinson Raceway in Savannah Ga on the anniversary of his passing. He had driven me around the track a couple of years ago at the HSR event. My wife and Mom were along for the ride remembering some of Dad’s stories.
Then we dropped Mom off at her place and headed back to Jacksonville FL. Listening to NPR they mentioned that SpaceX Dragon launch at the Cape. Sue has never seen a launch and we had missed one of the last Shuttle launches when it scrubbed. So what’s 4 more hours of driving after being on the road for 6 all ready? We made it with 20 min to spare. Nabbed a great parking spot on the causeway. While not as big as the Shuttle, any night launch is way cool. On the road and home by 11:00.
The only combo day that topped this one was a few years back when we hit the BMW muesum in the moring and Octoberfest that afternoon/evening.
What combo days have you done?
I often participate in a blast and cast. That is duck or goose hunting combined with fishing.
I got laid in the morning and then again at night a few times, does that count?
