Saw some rather interesting old timers at a local gathering spot for mainly old school american cars.
Palm in face after realizing ISO was way high when getting home.

I'd beg to differ, I think the shots look great (ISO's not to high IMO, unless you edited the images before posting). What light source were you using, external flash (strobe) or just the natural parking lot light? The first 3 look really fantastic.
Unfortunately no, people would not move away from the damn Abarth. Then the guy left and I just didn't have a opportunity to get a good shot of it except the engine bay. It was pristine though. The was the only shot I used a flash on. Everything was just playing around with the shutter speed and aperture and using the natural light. And thank you guys very much!
Very nice stuff. I'd say the ISO was dead on, unless you were shooting from a tripod. The rain adds a lot to them, too.

Of the Jag. Please!
No tripod, left it at home on accident. I usually shoot with shots like that at like an 800 ISO (w/o a tripod) so there isn't a lot of "noise" but I think it was at like 1000-1200. Shoot me an e-mail at bigggd222@gmail.com if you want a high res of the jag, just tell me what size and I'll do the re-sizing for you. That's my junk e-mail address for posting in forums btw.
And I'm sure my buddy with the D700 that was with me will show me up with his shots. But the body alone on that camera is just as much as a new short block/rotating assembly for my Trans Am.

+1. Photoshop the kids out of the pic, and frame that E36 M3!
I've stumbled upon the Old Town cruise night on a couple of visits to Florida. There's a pretty respectable turnout, even on rainy nights.
Cool photos.
It's not as fun as I remember when I went there as a kid. I'm surprised they still get that kind of turnout with that whole area turning into a sketchy place. Don't ever leave a decent looking Honda unattended in Osceola county and thanks again everyjuan.
The pic of the jag is great, but you need to edit out the people in the back ground and photo shop in the avengers for period correctness and what not...
What camera and lens were you using? Great shots by the way. I have not had the motivation to shoot lately. I actually even passed up a job for next weekend because I just was not motivated to do it. I would love to have a gathering like this to get my creative juices flowing again.
Maybe I will break out the D70 and 50mm 1.8 tomorrow to play around town.
