Ah, well ... no comment, other than this activity was going forth on our deck as Annie and I were eating dinner on said deck. frown

Really neat little '55 that showed up nearby some time ago.  It's running a pretty snappy sounding tunnel-rammed 327 and a four-speed. White fenderwell headers because you have to. The blue tinted glass out back doesn't show up well in this pic but it was just another period touch. Other than the disc brakes, it could have been 1965. Definitely gave me the warm fuzzies for a few hours.

When the backhoe is broken, you have to get out the tow tractor.

I'm pretty sure I saw that car at the Good guys show in puyallup last year. Really nice work. My buddies dad has a '55 (in the pre-gasser design phase right now) and they spent the better part of an hour chatting away.

The tires on this thing had to be at least 2 decades older than the truck they were on!

In reply to Trent :

It must be scary as hell driving that truck on a wet road. Michelin XML's are sweet but they are basically an Ag tire.

On my way to Amelia Island yesterday. It might be a little quicker to go through Jacksonville, but this is such a beautiful drive early in the morning.
