No matter where the emphasis or enunciation lies, or whatever way you want to interpret it, the phrase "I don't like a lot of people" holds.

Someone tried to convince me we're living in a simulation.

When I asked why do some people drink, smoke, do drugs? Are we addicted to computer viruses??

This was his response

Guess he's still stuck on windows 98

Is claybaring a windshield really a thing? My truck eats wiper blades every 2 months despite being parked in the garage at home and in the lower levels in a parking garage at work. I'm starting to think that there is a bunch of contaminants on the glass that is causing the blades to streak terribly in only 2 months. I'm tired of replacing wiper blades sad

I dunno. I use Barkeeper's friend on mine to get rid of hard water deposits, etc.

Might give it a try...

At one point in your life, albeit very briefly, you were the youngest person on earth.

I’m softening my view on gold and beige cars, mostly because of all the white/grey/silver/black that has taken over.  At least beige is actually a color.

This is actually very sad.

Was thinking about cars modified (at least in appearance) in non era-appropriate ways, I think inspired by Keith’s Miata thread.  Now I’m wondering if the Impala would look good as a gasser, with a slight lift, fat rear wheels/tires, and a straight axle up front.

Edit: and maybe some red or yellow window tint.

Now I’m thinking about early 80’s proto-prostreet, just put the rear height back to stock, or a smidge higher, and paint the diff cover red.

You've rediscovered Street/FX, which was a thing Car Craft tried to make happen but it didn't take.

Ex wiper / washer system test engineer here. Per FMVSS 104, June 26, 1996, 9.E, you should use a "non-abrasive windshield washing compound". We always used Bon Ami, but Recon1342's Barkeepers Friend recommendation is OK too.

I wonder if that would work to remove "water glass" aka coolant stop-leak.  Some dripped from my Volvo onto my RX-7's windshield and dried, right in the center of where I see through.  New windshields are not available unless you are willing to accept one without a frit band.

No, it's the unloved 80s cars (at the time, Fairmonts and Malibus) done up sort of like A/FX or Pro Street (themselves streetish homages to 70s Pro Stock cars, which kind of grew out of Factory Experimental, if I have my history right) but with actual tires on the front and no wheel tubs in the back, and wild 70s graphics, and... not much else that I could see.

I love that Hot Rod Magazine brings up (a very young) Chip Foose's involvement in the Street/FX Fairmont any time that they get a chance.

Also, didn't this thing have like a 514ci Ford big block that only made 300hp? That's kind of impressive in a sad way.

I think Subaru designs various components on their cars to make terrible sounds so that the engine doesn't sound as bad by contrast.

Saw a car that had temp plates on it. Was a newer Mitsubishi mirage. Also had the sticker from a known bhph lot on it. How bad does life have to be when you buy the cheapest new car in America, used, from a bhph lot, when the guy that sells these things new will finance literally anything with a pulse?

I like the Chevelle that someone converted to front wheel drive with Toronado parts.

Why'd he do it?  Who knows?  But it's certainly unexpected...

Some of those definitely resemble what I used to see, though most are far more extreme.  I mostly remember Novas and Camaros, with the nose at stock or lower height, the back jacked up with bigger than stock rear tires, and they all had to have the painted diff cover.  Bet almost all of them had a Kraco AM/FM radio/tape deck, too.
