That's what 3D printers are for.
There is a guy who prints them and sells them on Instagram. He also prints chassis to body drop pickups and all sorts of good stuff

I didn't know about Hot Wheels ID until my mom got me one for Christmas. Seems pretty cool, but I don't have the special portal to use it with. I did scan it into my phone, though.
Even if I don't use the fancy digital stuff, it's a good-looking car.
The ID cars are really nice, I have 6 of them. I have no interest in getting a portal. I do however have down hill/gravity track I run my cars on.
Touched up/detailed the three I got in my stocking (back row) and "re-wheeled" one of the Gamestop Green NA's I bought. Not sure they are worth the money, but the replacement wheels are pretty sweet.
Does anyone happen to have the Night Burnerz Focus RS they'd part with? I'd like to customize one to look like my car, and that one already has the black wheels.

Popped up on my Facebook feed: 3d Printed HW Miata tops
Speaking of Hot Wheels, we gave some digital ink to someone who used a few to build a cool, weathered diorama.
Does anybody else race their hot wheels? I built a custom wide track for mine. Two cars wide on the straights and three wide in the turns. I will see if I have some pictures of it.
Home brewed track with banked turns
That's the track I built, I might have $50.00 into it. Mrs Volksrodden doesn't mind it to much when I have it set up.

That looks pretty fun. I've been watching Hot Wheels racing videos on Youtube lately, it seems they use the Sizzlers Fat Tracks to make something similar to that...I haven't been able to find any for cheap so I'm interested in other solutions. I have a 4-lane straight downhill track somewhere but I can't find it.

I made my track completely out of coragated plastic. Here is the build thread:

Those wondering about Hotwheel racing (or other diecast) should check out this site: www.redlinederby.com They help organize events where participants mail in their cars to various track owners/builders, who then race them on their tracks. The Redline Derby folks are actually participating in our big February 22 race in Columbus, Ohio.
And if you want some info on our 2nd Annual Downhill Diecast Drag Race event, see below. Everyone is invited.

credit for the photo goes to one of the guys on the RLC site, I haven't opened mine yet but for a $20 car this is out of the park!
