Recommend Me a Slip On Boot

I am looking to see if a slip on boot exists out there that isn't China made that isn't insanely priced. I'm not looking for a work boot per say. More of a casual style if that makes sense. Something along the lines of a Doc Marten with no laces. They would be for general use, wearing to work, meandering around the garage. Any recommendations?

I haven't worn them myself, but Matco has been selling these Redbacks on their trucks for years.

I'm in my office and wearing my Ariat Workhogs right now as I type this. I don't know where they're made, probably China, if the quality is there, I think Ariat makes a good boot, where they're made is of little consequence to me.

Workhog, as its name might suggest is marketed as more of a work boot, but according to my little cousin I'm weird because I like a wide round toe. It just happens, that I like the way the Workhog looks, with it's round toe, they're quite comfortable (after a couple stretching sessions with a cobbler, I have weird feet) and I have taken to wearing a "work boot" as everyday/casual foot wear.

McRae Industrial or Georgia Boot Co. Wellingtons, something like $80-100. Not sure where they are made but Tractor Supply has them.

I got it for Christmas about 5 years ago now. Before that I had a similar pair that was 8 years old and could still be worn. Love them. Expensive, but worth it.

Blundstone. Required footwear for Aussies.

I got some of the slip on docs. They are Chinese made and not bad. The soles wore flat after 3/4 of a year. Not as terrible as the internet will tell you but not awesome.

My slip on composite toe boots are made in China.

Double h harness boots. Made in texas. Worn them for the last 15 years

I wear steel toe muck boots. They're pricey, but I think they're worth it.

Justin. Or are those Chinese? Less than a bill, comfy, durable. Keep the sparks out.

I'm not a huge fan of slip on boots because I like the ankle support of a tall lace up myself but the most comfortable/longest lasting boots I've owned have been Chippewa. I'm partial to the look of these http://www.chippewaboots.com/footwear/footwear/original/shop-all-original-boots/1901M05

I recently switched due to needing more ankle support to a Bates boot. It has a zip up sides so they pull on like a slip on what has the ankle support of a lace-up boot.

I'm not certain what "insanely priced" includes but I'm super happy with my White's boots. Made in Spokane WA.

I like redwing wellingtons. Yes, they are expensive, around $200, but I've always got at least five years out of them.

Edit; it looks like there is a redwing outlet stores in Philly and Allentown. Last time I was in one of those I got a pair of factory seconds for around $100. The leather had a small area that was a lighter shade of Brown than the rest. I would go that route. Once you wear redwings it's hard to go to anything else.

Unless you go used and get lucky at the same time that's not going to happen.

You said not made in China. I assumed that you meant made in USA by that.

Go to a Nordstrom Rack and look through their shoe department. You might find a boot you like for ~$60, and it might be made in India, or Malaysia.

I've been wearing a pair of Oliver ST's virtually daily since I got them at the end of 2012. One of the soles finally split a few months ago but they're still holding together, and they don't even look that bad. I can't comment on their boots but these things are tanks.

In regards to boot construction, i've done some reading that Goodyear welt construction is a good thing. Should I be looking for a pair of boots with Goodyear welt construction?
