I hope for accuracy's sake I hope your RC chassis has a really floppy suspension and the car corners on three wheels.

Wally I keep seeing that 2CV on the Dakar highlights along with the 959.
I'm abit hesitant to display my lack of modeling skillz given the amazing work you guys do. I've always collected 1:43 cars, usually pre built or built by others. I figured I'd try to roll my own, starting with repainting a couple prebuilt models to match my full size cars. I picked up a couple $5-10 old models off ebay to muck around with.
First victim is this resin 935. The decal sheet looks nasty but I saw a couple videos of ppl saving them. Also the tires shattered when I tried to mount them, but I found a guy Vintage43 who has some NOS wheel/tire sets.
I also got a Senna McLaren from him, but will definitely need to work up to doing F1 cars.

How it's going:
I'm sure the comprehensive detailed instructions will make it a simple project...

Welcome aboard. If the formula car has fold up photo etch suspension they build easier than it looks. The biggest issue I have ever had with any of the resin I have built is getting the mold release out of the surface before paint. Naptha has been the most effective. I need to build more of my 1/43 stash, I have quite a few unbuilts.

I love the Entropy Racing decals. :) And is that the Bridgehampton/Summit Point track layout?
You guys have me wanting to put together a model. I did this a lot as a kid, but I haven't in a long time. If I do, I'll post it here.

Were you at Summit long enough ago to remember the "hot tub" flag stand in the center of the carousel? This is that with no scale dimensions, just the desire and memory of the original. We still have apple trees at Scalehampton unlike Summit Point. The other end of the track is the Bridgehampton downhill through station 5a, but only one modeled flag stand. Essentially as you saw it 15 years ago but repaved with later Scalextric Sport track. I keep adding things with time and wear takes its toll on the scenery too. Last night there was an old DTM car inverted on a catch fence that now needs repair. This fortunately did not require an immediate repair and delay to proceedings though. We ran 8 people through 2 twelve minute races and a lot of bench racing by 10 PM.
The Entropy logos are new this year, one C.Greenhaus is the beginner referred to above!
I seem to think so, because when I think of turn 5, I think of the hot tub, not the probably-covered gazebo thingy they have there now. I've been bumming around that place for 19 years now. Where did they have apple trees?
Also, what was he doing running a white race car? Where's the John Deere Yellow?

Well it is turn around time now. I own the cars, so I pick the colors. His second event was last night. The entire area to the left of the main straight was apple orchard in the 1990s, they were good apples too, they sold them in the consessions, I would reserve a crate before a late season event the Empires were a favorite. Bill Scott originally planted them as a noise control barrier in the 1970s.
I got a few more hours on the Lyn StJames Mustang. Only touch up paint for the chassis, there are no more parts to add. The body is being difficult. The kit hinges the hatch, but it has too much warp to sit properly on the body when closed, I think I will have to glue it closed, I have tried repeatedly to heat warp it into submission, but it reverts in 24 hours to panel gaps a mile wide mid span. Kit instructions also say to leave the body removable, and that looks doable. More time in sanding the tires into a semblance of reality than any other part of the kit. They have a center seam, and the two halves were rather less than concentric. Very shiny vinyl too. The photos pick up half a dozen places that need paint touch-up, and one I have missed entirely so far...
