I have heard rumblings in the Porsche community about another Rennsport Reunion. Supposedly this one will be in October at Laguna Seca. Anyone else planning to go? Anyone know more details?

Seriously? Nobody here cares about the prospect of seeing ALL of porsche's most successful racing cars? We are talking about 16 le mans winners, 22 Daytona 24 hour winners, 18 Sebring winners, 2 Paris-Dakar rally victors, 11 Targa Florio champs, and four Monte Carlo Rally winners.
Sounds like a ton of fun to me!
ah hah....I was wondering why there was a work order written for the 956 recently.....other than normal storage service , it hasn't been touched for a few years..
Hope the date doesn't conflict with the Challenge...5 days to drive out could be an issue.
If it truely is Laguna Seca, then I'll put it on my calendar and be there. Thats only an hour an half from here.
I think it's time to have one in the Northeast. I vote for Lime Rock, not a do over at Laguna. I know, I know, the corkscrew,......And LR does have a fall Vintage Festival... I know, no chance in hell....
EDIT: And I just looked at the above pic...and recongnized the track.......Oh, faceplant in hand....

It was made official as of yesterday. Porsche and Laguna issued joint press releases.

Rennsport I was held at Lime Rock. Back in 2001! lol. Then twice at Daytona. It's about time for a West Coast experience.
Anyone want to road trip with me? I think I might take the week off and drive out there.

Tell me more about that... Workorder submitted by whom? And who is receiving said workorder? Where is it being stored?
Man that would be a freaking AWESOME event to go to! Unfortunately $400 a pop for tickets after flying down, hotel, rental, etc is too rich for me

Three day general admission tickets are only 60 dollars. There is an event at the Quail lodge on Saturday night that is 400 dollars, but that is billed as "an elegant dinner".

So road trip it. What is it 10 hours or so? Drive the 44, it would be a fun roadtrip story to tell....everyone.
I am contemplating driving from Atlanta, so don't be a whinger.

You should ride your bike.

If I still own the 944 by then...
My sister in Cali is due with her first in July, and my Mom in Cali has her 50th birthday in September, so I will have already been down twice. Then again I could claim I was seeing the niece again...

I may actually ride out to Barber for the Grand Am Porsche 250/Indy Grand Prix of Alabama event. The Barber museum has an MB5 there!
Ninja Edit: Here it is!

The owner, who I work for, on LI,NY.
stopped up at the shop today and find out we have rooms reserved already for the week, and the powers that be are trying to dovetail in another event in the Mid-west to round out the trip.
I've done more work on my challenge car so far than any other year and now I might not be able to make it....bummer
not sure..the owner's just started discussions about where and what event.
I guess I could maybe take the loaded truck with me to the Challenge and leave right from Florida...my Challenge car isn't that big...
You'll need to log in to post.
