For real.
Man, that's a lot of pushups...

I just spit out my coffee. You owe me a laptop. Well, played, sir!
My resolutions:
-Become less of a lazy fatass. I just watched the annual 25 mile New Years Day bike ride roll by while I scooped dog poop. I used to ride lots, as Eddy Merckx would say. Now, not so much.
-Make my collection of car-shaped objects move under their own power, preferrably in a fun and satisfying way.
-Teach my son to autocross (requires completion of the previous task first), but not allow him to beat me as he thinks he will.
-Prevent work stress from causing my head to explode. 2017 not starting off so well that way . However, I think task 1 is related to this.

Your wife seems monumentally understanding. You'll get far.
Goals:
Car: Pay off the wives car and sell off the other 2 cars laying around to pay off the student loans. On a plan to have everything including the house paid in full by 45. I've got 4 years left and I'm on track and want to keep it that way.
Personal: Hit the mountain bike more than I have been. I really enjoy it and it's great exercise. I want to be out there 2-3 times a week. Play more and stress less. I'm not getting any younger.
Work: Not let it take over my life. I'm in a good place. I don't need to take on the world.

Cars: Drive the Integra more, so that I can put some miles on it to justify selling it for what I can actually get for it.
Personal: lose 17 lbs while repeatedly trying to quit smoking.
Work: Continue to work less and keep easing into retirement.
Self:
- Reinvent me
- Limit self flagellation
- Learn a new skill
- Enhance my vocabulary
- Get back to drumming
- Reel in my excessive thinking
Cars:
- Finish at least one car
- Attend at least one track day
- Attend at least two AutoXs
Just getting back to basics.
Cars: rewire the CJ7, fix whatever else breaks on the CJ7, new tires for and actually use the 911 more.
Me: remember that I am 3rd and actually do it. My biggest focus.
Fitness goals: I'm already signed up to run my first ever Ragnar relay. I hate running. Make 250 workouts this year. And do at least 3650 pull ups. I've never done any of these last two either so this out to be good...
- Be present
- ride more
- post less
Simple, easy and attainable.
There are too many excuses in my life. This year, I'll add them to all the voices I try to tune out.

It makes my heart all warm and fuzzy that being a stay at home dad is now a goal.
To everyone else, your motivation is motivating! Keep it coming!
Even after all of the posts anout how much 2016 sucked, it was actually a great year for me and my immediate house hold. Passed a monumental exam, sold house for profit, bought and renovated bigger house, had a perfectly healthy son, and continued working a job I enjoy.
2017 will be about taking life a bit less serious. Wife and I do want to lose some weight and eat healthier. I want to spend more time with my kids, and enjoy the little things. Same with cars, take it easier and do small projects and enjoy those awesome moments when I get an hour or so alone in the garage.

It was amazing to have the time with mine that I did when I did it. Especially when so many of my contemporaries were shocked to find i was the one that stayed.
I don't have too many goals yet, but the big one is be more social/spend more time with people doing stuff. Right now, I spend so much time working on projects on the house or in the garage that I think I'm starting to alienate my friends. That goal will probably drive a lot of other things, including scaling back or selling a project or two.

Car stuff: Get Molvo running and be into final bodywork
Career: Be down to 11 work days by this time next year
Me: Pretty good with what I got. Always been pretty happy with where I am regardless of where that is, so...
I was reading a discussion on productivity the other day. One person mentioned that they had switched to slip on shoes to eliminate the time associated with thing. Someone else commented that if their life was too busy to tie shoes, shoes weren't really the problem. I'm going to try and make sure I have time to tie my shoes.
I have a few lofty goals to work on this year.
First and foremost, I need to lose weight and get myself in better shape. I love food, and I love being a lazy lump, but I also like living past the age of 40, so I need to do something about that. I'd like to lose 100 lbs over the next year.
Next, I need to get that Trans Am of mine back on the road. It's been off the road since 2012, and I miss driving it so much. If it doesn't get back on the road, I at least want to make progress in getting it there.
I also want to keep playing music. Lately, I've been playing a lot of guitar. I've always wanted to learn to play better, and things are starting to click. Gotta keep at it!
I need to slow down on my hobby of collecting video games and start playing the ones I have before buying more. Not only do I have a massive collection, it takes up a massive amount of room. Maybe I can cut that back a bit. This is tough, because I want them ALL!
Hopefully 2017 will kick butt. We shall see.

I hate tying shoes, it's one of those things that absolutely grates me. It does take too long to do. Especially my stupid ariat work boots, every time I get the lace around those stupid small eyelet clip things they use the shoe string slips off one of them. Usually I can get it on the third try. berkeleying frustrating.
After much thought and consideration, I'm not going to set a weight or size goal for the year. If I can replace 2 "bad" meals a week with 2 "healthy" meals per week, I'll call it a good start. And get back down to one bottle of mt dew a day from 3 plus. That's tons of pointless calories and sugar getting put on, and I already know how much I can lose just replacing it with water.
Since the pedometer on my phone turned itself on and can't be shut off, it's enlightening to how lazy I really am and that isn't good.
I'd like to get back to the weight I was when I moved back to PA but I'm seriously setting that as a 2 year goal.
