Oh.  My . god.     Please please please do a build thread on whatever you’re making from that.   That is some of the most amazing looking wood I’ve ever seen.

Well, FMP appears to be out of business but I found this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hydMdbqkI6A

That sounds way better than I thought it would, I can hear that spacey wash sound you mentioned.

You have issues ... unless that was $90 shipped then you're my hero.

You heard the lady. She wants to see what you're going to do with your wood. Don't go disappointing her now.

$700 worth of TonyKart/TM parts - magnesium hubs (ouch), bearings, brake pads, exhaust supports, clamps, a radiator, a battery, carb rebuild kits, and parts to rebuild the engine.

I still need a chain and sprocket.

ooof. OTK magnesium parts are expensive. Just don't look at the hand spun magnesium rims pricing. I knew someone that was a smidge over min weight and bought every magnesium part he could to shed pounds. Darn kart cost more than a new car....

See what I mean? I thought the same thing but it was cheap and on clearance because the company was going under.

It's really an interesting sound, also can be super quiet if need be too.

I'm buying a 67 427 Corvette roadster.  Bad timing I guess,  but I've always wanted a c2 with a big block and side pipes.  I'm selling a few of my other cars and projects to soften the blow.

Went to buy a caulking gun skin for my Bosch gear, ended up buying a planer, jigsaw and dustbuster skins as well so I could get 3 bonus 4ah batteries due to a promo being run. Also ended up with a kreg pocket hole jig set while I was at it, because it came with a bunch of bonus hardware and was in a nice storage case and they were on clearance.... I figured even even if I only manage to make one or two projects with it it'll have more or less covered it's cost.

A C2 roadster is my dream car.  I've never driven one.  Please write a long post about how terrible it drives so I can move on with my life.

I'm trying to avoid buying the $500 Willys I found on Facebook marketplace. If I wait a couple hours it should be sold. I need to buy things that take up less space, like motorcycles.

It's probably very rough but it has a title.

And it's $500...

That is so much nicer than the $1500 Willys that I was looking at a few weeks ago.

My mother purchased a 66 427 roadster brand new and sold it a few years before I was born for chump change. That was her big regret car. I always wanted to track it down and buy it back but 1, I'm poor and 2, almost impossible to track down. She saved everything from that car except who she sold it to. Consequently, C2s have always been special to me.

My girlfriend and I have put our cash into savings and will probably do a west coast roadtrip vacation when this is all over. We were putting off a vacation before this, not anymore!

And considering ordering one of these kits:

Has anyone tried one of these? They are kinda pricey, but it looks like a fun little project.

No idea what kind of batteries they use and if the remote part of it works worth a damn.

We used to play multiple times per week in college and the first 2-3 years after. Good way to get outside and get a tiny bit of exercise.

Now that I'm in OKC, it's far too windy most of the time to have any fun doing it. Currently we are seeing steady winds in the 5-10 mph range, with frequent gusts into the 25-30 mpg range.

And that's just normal from Spring to Fall.
