As of this writing I am almost 12 hours late, but the Solstice (Winter in the Northern Hemisphere, Summer in the Southern) occurred today at 12:04 GMT.

For those in colder weather, it's the shortest day of the year and marks the beginning of calendar Winter. For those in warmer weather, it's the longest day of the year and marks the beginning of calendar Summer.

Either way, it has been celebrated as a festival occasion for millenia - since the dawn of recorded time. So warm wishes to all! Enjoy the real real reason behind the season.

The weather bimbo on the local news tonight said "this will be the coldest night of the season" Well no E36 M3 Sherlock. Even tho it will be 18 deg F it could be 80 and still the coldest night of the season. Shes not even the sexy bimbo just the regular weekend variety.

Soooo, it was the coldest night? LOL! That doesn't look good for us here in GA, HAHAHAHA! Cause the temps are definitely going down . . perhaps our Solstice is waiting for the Bailout before it arrives.

LMAO, same here, but I'm a warm weather person . . . sooo

Pagan!!! Burn him, burn him!!

Now, if we could only find some proper "Christian" holiday that we could position at the same time to distract these pagans from their silly rituals...
