I would have loved to see him speak live. He had such a deadpan delivery talking about his "skills". I think, maybe, there is a speech of his from his induction in Cooperstown. As a broadcaster, I presume. Well worth the 20 minutes.
The world is a bit less funny today.
He was great and having him call games was something I'll always appreciate. The man knew the game. I spent a LOT of hours listening to him. RIP.
