Steven J. Cannell died the end of September. I only heard on Sunday.

And the following week's episode of "Castle" recycled his trademark signoff. Classy, I thought.

No more frisky.

I could take him or leave him in Happy Days, but I really liked a movie he made called "Mary Christmas". He played Santa Claus in disguise as a sort of Mary Poppins male nanny. (And no, that's not where the Mary in the title comes from.)
