The daughter and I hung around Road America last Friday (7/13/12) and enjoyed the entire day. It was fun to meet Joe and see how busy the GRM/CM booth was. People couldn't hand him money fast enough for their subscription requests. And I heard there was some great stories about the Neon and the new owner.
Four racing teams told my daughter to go ahead and climb into their cars and hold the steering wheel and I can say she was wound up like a clock until 1:00am that night. I really appreciate how kind these racers were to her as we had a blast. For the parade to Elkhart Lake we stood at the exit and watched all the cars leave. Every person driving out was all smiles. And to end it I had to include at least one Datsun.
So Racers; how do you treat those that stop by to look?

I took my two boys (10 & 6) up on Sunday. Everyone we talked with was very gracious, including a very nice chat with Peter Egan from R&T. This was my younger son's first trip to RA, and maybe the 4th for my older boy. They both came away with big smiles and a nap in the car on the way back home.

I had my niece Lauren, 3 years old, at the local oval/figure 8 last friday. She is the young lady holding my hand. My mom and dad, my brothers family and many friends went as well. The children enjoyed seeing the cars and meeting the drivers. Laurens race car is going to be pink with purple polka dots.
