I moved to MN. Thought I'd get rid of it, but a guy who sits about 20 feet from is one of them.
When I lived in AL, one of my favorite things was to answer the question of whether I was an Alabama or an Auburn fan with, "The SEC is the most over-rated conference." That would get everyone riled up, even the out of staters who rooted for UT or UF.

I'm about 95% sure you're wrong about that.
I have the misfortune of knowing some people from Alabama and if they're any indication of the rest of that state then you have way more to complain about than the football team.
One guy brags all the time about the cows he's berkeleyed. Says all he had to do was honk the horn and they would back up to the fence. Said he had one that would say mooore instead of moooo.
Way worse thngs in Alabama than the football team.
And the SEC is over rated

Might be time to move.
A&M was in the B12 for years, and I had no problem admitting the SEC was the better conference. A KSU/Bama MNC would have ended in a 49-13 Bama win.

No I love living in Huntsville. There are very few other places in the US I would want to live.

No. That is the FIFO's and the professed "love" for everything Ohio and Ohio State, but refuse to stay living there.
Having lived in a bunch of states, including Alabama, it is far from the worst. IIlinois was far, far worse in most every respect, and I lived in Chicago. Far worse for racism, worse for illiterate people, rudness, weather, and of course they have no good football teams at all.
The last 3 national champions have all been from AL!
Of course I also live in Huntsville, and it is nothing like the rest of the state.
Wow...I'm eating crow tonight.
Everyone says Huntsville isn't like the rest of the state, but I've seen some pretty bad parts of that city. I live in Birmingham, so I know a bad area when I see one.
Go Cats! Hopefully we can be competitive in the SEC in a few years.

Where? I mean there is that bit on Governor's and some on University Dr that I wouldn't want to go into but compared to most cities...
