I can't wait until the Honda Home Energy Station is available. How hard can it be to convert all my gas-burners to Hydrogen?

Right...which is exacly what happens with used Prii, Insights, etc. now. Those cars aren't just getting scrapped because a new battery pack costs $$$$. There are several options...buy new (aftermarket) batteries that are much better than the originals for about the same price as OEM stuff ($$$$), buy a used OEM pack ($$$), or rebuild the used pack you have ($$). Tons of people are fixing old hybrids; don't take my word for it, ask Google!

I think Honda based the home energy station on Plug Power's fuel cell technology. They have units that use natural gas and produce electricity to power your house. Interesting technology.

5000 psi H2 might not be something I want to produce right next to my house though...at least not as an early adopter. I'll wait till they work the bangs, err, bugs out.
