Inside Line said: Just the Facts: Buick is planning to reintroduce the Grand National, T-Type and GNX nameplates. The new models will ride on GM's rear-wheel-drive Alpha platform introduced in the Cadillac ATS sedan. The Grand National and T-Type models will likely use turbocharged V6s, while the GNX will most likely get GM's new LT1 V8.

It's okay to dream.

Sure it can. Just like a Charger can be a four door.

Could be worse, they could make it in a color besides Anycoloraslongasit's Black.

They're already trashing the idea behind the GN by making it available with a manual trans, so why not a 4-door version?

NOT!!!!!

Kids fit nicely in the back of proper performance cars. That would be a 2 door in case you didn't know.

I am a definite fan, hard to say that an M5, G8 GXP, WRX, Evo X, etc etc etc (4 doors) are not performance cars IMHO

I would rock the E36 M3 out of that. Screw this WRX, 4 door semi-luxury car with power and not a Caddy or Nazzzi Sled! YES! Please GM, I'll actually buy from you if you do it and do it well!

It's a shame Buick never made a fwd version for GM fans to conveniently forget about when they're bitching about sacrilege.

Honestly who gives a E36 M3. REJOICE! For Buick isn't making cars for octogenarians!

Right there with ya.

I love high-peformance sedans; they can do anything a coupe can but with more practicality and they aren't po-po magnets.

The Regal GS is awesome; this GN version would be ever awesomer.

Price, mileage and state of the US economy dependent, that could be on my radar to replace the Elantra in a couple of years.

Nope. Our first family car was a 2 door Chevette (we were poor), then a 2 door Rabbit, then we moved up to a 2 door Malibu. We've only ever had one 4 door family car and that was a Jetta, and it was free from my mom. The last two were a Cobalt and Z24. I don't see the problem, and actually found it easier to load kids into their seats with a 2 door than having to fit in that tiny little door and have that big post in my back while I lifted them to their seats. Nonetheless, a proper performance car is still a 2 door manual and always will be.
