^ and the point to KATYB^
Who cares?
They are adults, performing a job of their own volition, if they choose to risk their health and safety in that manner, I see it as their right to do so.

That's awfully sexist of you to assume I meant only the women are whores
heh.. in my other thread I allude to being a union stage hand.. we all call ourselves "whores" as we go to work for whomever will pay us.

Not sure what CJ meant but I would consider the male porn stars to be whores as well...

Not that I wanna poke the bear, because I'll freely admit I read that comment and assume it connotated a woman, but who's to say he wasn't referring to the guys? There was no mention of the sex of the whore in question.
Don't they have a berkeleyers Union Local #229 who has their backs on this issue?

They're getting paid for sex, they're hookers, not whores.

You'd think they'd have to. Otherwise you'd have scabs like me who'd do their job for FREE!
I think that local#69 represents them in the San Fernando Valley

I don't think many people would watch their movies if they had scabs.
Hmmm, I think Hookers go out and look for it. Whores wait for it to come to them.
A Hooker is a kind of Airborn, of Mobile Infantry version of a Whore.

While I take your point, I don't think "whore" is necessarily defined as "female"...

A key that can open many locks is a "masterkey."
A lock that is opened by many keys is a "E36 M3ty lock."
Think about it.
It is easy to assume that a remark that puts one class of people down is referring to women, as that happens daily and appears to be socially acceptable in a lot of cases. Merriam-Webster lists the definition for Whore as:
1: a woman who engages in sexual acts for money : prostitute; also : a promiscuous or immoral woman
2: a male who engages in sexual acts for money
Note the bolded section does not carry over to the description of the males as promiscuous or immoral.
Gives something to ponder, eh?
Yes, there is a double standard in this world. How dare you question it? BAD GIRL!!!
I think the bold section is assumed in all men.
It's all about where you get your info/opinion from-
whore (hôr, hr)
n.
-
A prostitute.
-
A person considered sexually promiscuous.
-
A person considered as having compromised principles for personal gain.
intr.v. whored, whor·ing, whores
-
To associate or have sexual relations with prostitutes or a prostitute.
-
To accept payment in exchange for sexual relations.
-
To compromise one's principles for personal gain.
I define it as either male or female. If you choose to only believe it's women, then that's your worldly view that should be questioned.
I choose to not stand by and let someone ELSE assume that it means only women. That is all.

The word "whore" applies to both genders, only because too few know about the word "gigolo".
