How many centuries have women been called whores? I'm willing to bet it is longer than leaded gas was referred to as regular. However, this can still lead to confusion as to the meaning of "regular" gas in an age where leaded gas can be difficult to find.
Yes, today "whore" CAN refer to any gender, but that doesn't mean it's intended meaning is always gender neutral. I think the ultimate responsibility is on the writer to make clear their "meaning", lest it lead to the inevitable "interpretation" on the reader's part at to their meaning. Perhaps a statement such as, "Whores (male and female) have rights too," would be clearer and not likely to ruffle feathers. I wish men would not bash women for being sensitive to issues that have plagued us for many years and has only recently begun to encompass anyone else.

i meant just as whore in reference to sex. it is never used towards men. and even if it is its not used in the negative connotation as it is with woman. Ill put it this way i know a guy who has been with 70 something people. if i were to have been with that many people something would be wrong with that. but very few people have a problem with a guy who has if he has settled down after his wild days girl well she stays a whore even if it was just a really crazy 6 month road trip that caused the high number of intimate partners.

Are you now saying that even though we have accepted and changed the sexist term of "Whore" to include everybody, because it once meant one sex rather than another, it is still sexist?
You are making this difficult for a person to be non specific.
OK how is this "A non specific gendered person who is making their person freely and regularly available to the purposes of physical release only."
Now as to your referring to men as being women basher's I am offended you chose such a gender specific argument,
Stop calling me a prick under your breath, you sexist
Just because a derogatory term is no longer specific to women does not make it a less painful or emotionally charged derogatory term for women.
I think it is the writer's responsibility to correctly establish their content and meaning in their writing or else not be upset by it's inevitable interpretation.
Shut up ya prick and let me type!
Like how the white married employed anglo-saxon male has caused all things bad in the history of the world.
We are sorry, we were bad
Yup, we are the most hated and feared creatures on the planet. Whoops, I'm no longer married; guess that lets me off that particular hook.
So, does anyone think the fining of the industry will lead to safer practices or will the market gravitate toward videos that are condom-less? Ya know, just to try to get back on topic.
I have never read the word whore in so many places, that's all I have to add.
My favorite line using the word whore occurs at the end of the movie Identity, "Whores don't get a second chance"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muVrlRZryvU
Warning, the line isn't until the very end of the clip, and if you watch it all, it is quite the spoiler for the movie...
The Mecca for this form of entertainment is Chatsworth, CA which is about ten miles away from me right now. The requirement to wear protection reduces the desirability of the final product and as a result, the Producers are incentivized to relocate their business out of state.
End result…work will continue to be performed without protection, performers in CA will lose jobs, and performers outside of CA will get jobs.
It’s just like cement…there’s a market for it but production has a high carbon footprint so CA is soon to impose a special tax penalty which will undoubtedly cause the ore to be trucked out of state for processing and returned for use in CA.
End result…CA job loss and increased carbon emission (processing plus trucking out plus trucking back).
The last time I checked, CA had an unemployment rate of 12.5% which is almost 30% higher than the national average.
I live in the stupidest %$#&%^$ state in the union…Grrrrrrr!!!, can we please, please, PLEASE not destroy the hand full of private sector jobs that are left?
if the workers are sick of getting the shaft from management and always getting screwed on the job, then maybe they should form a union..

They are adults, performing a job of their own volition, if they choose to risk their health and safety in that manner, I see it as their right to do so.
Spreading aids, known or unknown by the "spreader" is a major felony in most states. And considering the occupation in this case, not a surprise.

Nevada, Texas and Florida all have palm trees for background shots. Maybe all the hot, easy (but expensive) women (OK - men, too) will change zip codes soon?
I'll wager the cheap ones OSHA can't find are everywhere.

The word "whore" applies to both genders, only because too few know about the word "gigolo".
I can't hear the word gigolo without laughing. I had my appendix out when I was ten, and my aunt was bringing my 5 year old brother to see me. He had heard "Just a Gigolo" on the radio and it stuck with him, and we could hear him coming as he was belting it out full volume in the hospital halls.

Longer than people have been using the "N word".
Maybe women should start calling each other "whores" as a term of endearment.
Then you could all get really bitchy and say "That's OUR word!" at any man who calls you that when they were simply trying to be friendly.
Wooohoo! racism and sexism in one post! What do I win?

umm actually depending on the circle some women do do it... just like bitch both can be used as a term of endearment from another woman... from a man tho not the same.
