Some good family memories were made, so at least the kids will remember it as a good year.

Met a new woman at the end of 2023 so 24 was a fun year of us getting to know each other more.

We went to a lot of great music shows, went on some great adventures and had a great time.

Took my nephew to his first track day ever and he did an awesome job. I got to spend more time on track than I have in years so that was a big bonus as well.

Reached all of my retirement targets so now that is all on cruise control.

Found a few things health wise that was affecting my overall well being that were caught and I feel like a champ again.

Overall 2024 was really good and I'm the most happy that I have been in a while. I can't wait for 2025.

Got engaged to my lovely Fiancee,  replaced my Corvette with a CTS-V, got a puppy, and became entirely too entralled with fresh and saltwater aquariums. Not a bad year for me at least.

My wife got a healthy promotion that she's been past due for a while on...

My son and daughter continue to be healthy, genuinely nice, smart, and functional human beings...

I got to acquire my bucket list car, and it hasn't blown up spectacularly in my face...

My daughter has really taken to ice hockey, and coaching her this year has been one of my greatest joys of parenting...

Sure, there were some really personally awful parts mixed in, but the good far outweighed the bad and I wouldn't change a single thing about 2024.

Many great things in 2024, but since this is on occasion a car-centric forum...   Somehow around the work schedule we got to do over 12,000 fun filled miles in the GR86 on some great roads.

Had two epic overseas trips - one for work, one personal.

The big new track opened at long last. The 250cc 2-stroke shifter was finished at long last. I won a race in the big shifter on the big track.

My father died - no longer trapped by disability from doing everything he enjoyed.

I've been racing my M3 with NASA for a few years now, but 2024 was the year it went from "overwhelming" firmly into the category of "fun".  Picked up some hardware along the way :)

I got my driveway paved, a project I have been wanting to do for almost 20 years. Along with it, I ran water drainage lines and built new retaining walls and steps. It was a large project, but I figured it out and got it done and am happy with the outcome. (Though landscaping will have to wait for 2025)

One of my best memories was hiking from the ocean to the top of the Ridgeline on Oahu. Just about killed me, but it just felt extraordinary as I passed through multiple vegetation zones and enjoyed the views. I've already talked about my son's blossoming as an adult, so I'll leave it at that.

Science - especially as it impacts medicine. Sometimes it feels like there's a race between tech as it makes our lives better and as it threatens to kill us. But in either case, it's a marvel to behold.

I survived it.  At this point, that's about the only thing that matters.

Uh.  Ummm.

Strong positive for you in 2024: you met me. 🤘🏻

EDIT: E36 M3, we met in 2023. You fabbed the seat belt mount that got MonZora through tech at the 2023 Challenge. So yeah, I can see how you wouldn't have me on your list. 😳

Bacon wrapped pork belly lollipops.

And while I appreciate being on the same list as "successfully completed chemotherapy," well, let's just say I'll forgive you for placing me one step lower than that. As long as it's a small step. 🤣

I enjoyed my first full year of retirement and working in and on my shop. Rode my bike a lot.  My wife and I have settled into the country house she swore she'd never move to, at least full time.  We're treating each other better (with occasional lapses!)

Drove across the entire country from Seattle to Jacksonville with my oldest daughter, her old, farting Doberman, and a cat.  They've been visiting us for the past month and a half.  I love having her around, even when she works remotely out of my living room and has Futurama on the TV all day "for the dog".  No people or pets have been killed -- yet.

Youngest daughter graduated pharmacy school, got commissioned as a USAF Captain, moved across the country to her first duty station and house, and got engaged.  She's had a busy year!

Looking forward to 2025!  Hoping for more time building things, riding my bike in interesting locales (current plans for the Golden Circle route out of Skagway, AK, and possibly Chiang Mai, Thailand.)

It's been a big year.

Our girls got a baby brother this summer. The house has been busy with ages 13, 4, 2, and the baby, but watching the little ones grow has been fun. The oldest has gotten into playing guitar a bit so I've been able to share that with her. Helps to balance out my frustrations with newfound teenager dramas, lol.

I started jumping back in to the music and guitar hobby that I'd been neglecting for a few years. That's been a big positive and something that I think has helped my attitude toward life in general.
