I've got a bottle of glenlivet 18 for when I'm in the mood for scotch, I've had some younger glenmorangie before and that is damn tasty as well. I'm a bourbon guy mostly though.

I keep a bottle of Glenfiddich 12 in the house at all times. When I go out I order a Lagavulin 16.

I enjoy the heavy smoke of Laphroaig 10.
It is the liquid equivalent of a whisky and a cigar.
Like drinking around the campfire, w/o the campfire.

I'm still nursing a bottle of Johnnie Walker green I got for Christmas a couple years ago. I need to spend more time at home.

Strangely, I love a good single malt but the mere smell of Bourbon makes me feel physically nauseated

I love all whiskey. Good bourbon has more bang for the buck, so it's what I normally drink. I revisited Laphroaig last weekend, though, and instantly remembered that yes, Scotch is delicious.

Still working on appreciating the heavily peated scotches. I have a bottle of The Bunnahabhain 12 year here: an Islay scotch that is quite approachable.

I like my cheap bourbon. Any of the guys who have played Xbox with me can tell you that.

I've been drinking Jameson or Makers Mark on the rocks lately, and I'd like to get a bottle of scotch. Any suggestions for an entry level position? My other alcoholic tastes include robust red wines and heavy beers.

Skip the scotch, go get a bottle of Jameson 18.
