SE Mi beer night, Birmingham area next Weds Feb 12th

Great time tonight!

And I'm serious about getting some of the SE Michigan folks together for a drag night at Lapeer or Milan this summer.

I'm in.  Let's see from last night we'd have had:

GM Suburban - Todd, Wawazat

GMC Jimmy- Jeff, Gearheadotaku

Fusion Sport - Tom Spangler

Fiat 500 - Keenan - DeadSkunks offspring, I've forgot his real screen name

Volvo V60 - Adrian Thompson

F150 - Reese, Hippywagon

That would have made for a fun time.

I got close to doing some drag racing runs on the Hot Rod Power Tour with the Yukon last year.  
 

I better hurry up and get the Courier running. Not sure a launch would be friendly to the rear end but I'm game to try.

I'll take some of that. You might get me off the line, but sooner or later (hopefully before 1320 feet), aero will take over. 

Car and Driver tested my Yukon at 14.3s @ 98mph.

Tom's Fusion is 13.7s @ 101mph.  

I'm not sure what power train Adrian's Volvo wagon uses.

C&D have my car at 0-60 in 4.9 and 13.5 @ 105 in teh 1/4.  Not bad for a grandpa wagon.

If I have to drag race the Jimmy, it better be in the mud. Not that my odds will get any better, it's just more fun.

Very in for a day at Lapeer dragway.
