As some of you know, I bought a car in Seattle and need to figure out where to leave it for a while.
Previous owner will let me leave it with him until 5/8.
I am flying into SeaTac on 5/7 and flying out on 5/9 just to figure out where to leave the car until my final flight on 6/13. I am bringing with me the Florida plates, so the car will be registered/insured.
Right now I am thinking I will leave it at SeaTac, but that will be ~$900.
Any other suggestions that are safe? Does anyone have a promo code for portseattle.org website?
Thanks!
Rent a storage unit, self store type place?

Sounds like you have talking to my wife lol.
I am going to have to look into that.
Don't leave it at SeaTac for an extended amount of time.
I'd look eastward, towards Kirkland, Bellevue, Redmond area, if you're looking for safe/secure. Seattle, for one, has very limited parking options and what options exist are overpriced, unsafe, or both.

Do you think it will get vandalized at SeaTac?
Also on my return I am staying in Bothell. Might look at that area as well.
I have a former work address (and coworkers) in bothell. I can check into it if needed.
I've got space in Kent at Pacific Raceways if needed.
In reply to Slippery :
Yep, almost certainly will get vandalized at SeaTac imo.
Bothell is also a safer/more secure option than Seattle.
iansane's space at Pacific Raceways would be a good choice too, the racetrack is relatively secluded and secure and you'd be storing it with a fellow GRM'er :)

I seem to remember that this is a "unique" car?
I don't remember the car exact model but I remember it being old. Not common like, "everyone wants one" but more like, "what is it?" And, "I've never seen one."
PM sent. I had a car rental place there we used for several years. Louie is super cool and he might help you out.
I live on a cul-de-sac in Bothell. It would be uncovered but the price is right. And my wife and kids are homeschooled so the house is almost always attended.
I really miss the Seattle I knew when I was in the Navy long ago, I'd go for Pacific Raceway in Kent formerly known as SIR.

It's an 07 BMW X3, I'd assume most have seen one, I'd assume not the one you're thinking of.

Not the one I'm thinking of. I was thinking an early 1970s Fiat coupe

As an ineffective graduate of the public school system, she's learning as much as the kids are most days.
Been away from the forum for a couple of days. Thanks for all the replies.

Thanks for the offer I really appreciate it. I will let you know if I need it, but the distances might make it difficult.

I am looking at a couple of storage places, but *might* take you up on this if it is not too inconvenient for you and your family. I will send you a PM. Thanks for the offer!

Yes, its an old X3, nothing fancy or new. I just don't want/have time in the schedule to go get back to a broken windshield or slashed tires.
Any parking garage should be fine.
Storage unit secured. First month is $1, second is $200. The $1 ends up being $30 after fees, so it will cost me around $230 all in for 40 or so days.
Fly in on the 7th and flying out on the 9th to arrange the move.
Thanks for all the suggestions and John for the storage idea!!
The part of Lynnwood you've secured is in the upper third for safety, I would guess. I'd walk through there at night without fear if I had a purpose to do so.
