Ah, hell, you can not fix typos in titles.

Cool! Looks clean.
FYI I sold my '87 325is (in delphin metallic, basically the same everything as the car in the advert) with some performance goodies for $1500, 2 months ago. Mine wasn't as clean as that one appears to be and I probably could have sold it for a little more. I'm only bringing it up for an idea of their going price.
That price is entirely dependent on what maintenance has been done. I'm about to put my E30 on the market, but I'll expect much more than than as mine has had basically all the wear items replaced, has very good original interior and all original paint and no rust, timing belt 10k ago, etc. It is turn key.
Clean, unmolested, well maintained E30s are going up in price, as they are getting few and far between, especially the 325is's.
Looks pretty clean. Check for rust in the sunroof and around the rear license plate lights. Ask for proof of when the timing belt was last changed.
Look for rust:
Nice! Which model is it?
I think colour makes all the difference with these cars. Dark exterior with black interior (like that one) looking much better than, say, red on tan, etc.

It says 6 cylinder, which in the states means 325i.
Those wheels are a b!tch to clean.
We need a filter word for B.

Bzzzzt. Wrong. It could also be a 325e, or from those pictures a 325es. Big, big difference between those two engines.
From the photos it looks like an is, but it could be an e. It'll say for sure on the VIN tag, another obvious thing is the redline on the tachometer.

Ignore proof. For $13, change it because they are lying.
bought it.
$1800. not perfect but not bad. Now standing 25 people deep at the bmv on the last saturday of the month.
thanks for the help guys.
pic and more description to follow.

Spray some water on them.
Spray a brake dust removing cleaner on them.
Use a pressure washer to hose them off.
Done and clean.

1987? Wasn't the e done in 86?
Sounds like a decent deal for an 'is' or 'es', either way the m20 should come out in favor of an m/s 50
I have been slowly shopping E30s for the day some crackhead ends the lift of my Ti. I figure if I get the body and interior done, I can just swap the entire suspension and drivetrain
It is an '87 325is.
Appears to be in mostly stock shape.
The biggest exterior sins is a small dent on passenger front fender. Seems the front driver's fender was replaced with genuine BMW parts (sticker.) The strut tower on that side does still contain the factory paint code sticker (likely the fender was a cosmetic repair not structural repair.) There is evidence of a full body repaint but I do think it was done any time recent.
Just the slightest surface rust at body welds and typical places. For a northern car, this one would be labeled as pretty much rust-free.
The interior is nice as well.
No dash cracks or door card cracks.
All items work as intended including dash board computer and roof mounted info center. All bulbs in proper working order.
The biggest interior sins are some scuffs on the black leather. Some re-dye may be in order.
The driver seat cushion has one seam split right in the center.
The after market Blaupunkt radio seems to play only out of one speaker. Not a "period correct" radio with CD but a wise "marque correct" choice as you would often see a blaupunkt in a BMW.
Only two tool missing from trunk tool kit.
Jack tools are there.
Most interesting find is that I am sure the car came from the factory with Michilens. I suspect this because the full size basket weave rim for the spare tire contains the most dry rotted tire I have ever seen. Like 23 years old type dry rot.
Mechanical:
Some sort of leaking of PS fluid at the pump. Otherwise dry in the engine bay. It pretty much was the coldest day of the year so far today at a crisp 15 F. Since the car was an hour away plus some errands and some joy driving, I put about 100 miles on the car that day. No starting or running issues.
The AC compressor kicks in when the button is pressed and the engine revs up like it should due to the load. Other than that, it was 15F out. Hard to tell if it threw cold air.
Biggest sins are a sloppy shifter (but no syncro issues.) A slight (very slight) steering wheel wobble at speeds less than 40.
My biggest complaints are that the cruise control lever hits my knee most constantly and the steering wheel feels too far away when the seating positions is set properly for my legs.
Quick pictures on a still cold day:

I'm about the same size and I have an e30 as well. I'm not quite sure how I'd get my leg up in a position so it would hit the cruise control arm.
edit: when I got into my car this morning to go to work, I tried to touch the cruise control with my leg and I couldn't do it - my thigh hit the steering wheel first. Is the lever in your car bent or hanging down or loose in some way?
Well bought. I'm very jealous. Timely post though. The Wife was looking at a nice Tag Heuer Monaco watch for my birthday coming up next week - the big 4-0 - and I told her for that kind of money ($3k) I'd much rather have a $50 Seiko 5, a car just like this and the budget to run a couple seasons of autocross and track days with it...

Why am I certain this did not go over well?
