Depending on the PPD- it could very well have been suicide by cop. From a safety perspective anyone that's going to try and ram the white house is going to get shot, regardless of reason. Maybe she wanted out?
I have heard paranoid schizophrenia, which makes way more sense then post partum depression. Obama was her "hunter" / "stalker", she wanted that to stop, so she went to the source. Anyone that tries to stop her are part of the conspiracy.
Thankfully she did not get a gun, we have seen too many of those.
Paranoid schizophrenic can be very dangerous. The scariest I have seen was a TV special on children afflicted with it. The parents woke to find their daughter in their bedroom doorway with a carving knife, very sad.

Otherwise, unless more comes to light(and it probably will), I wouldn't think attempting to ram a gate and then fleeing warranted the use of lethal force.....but what the berkeley do I know, I've only had that continuum drilled into my head.
