"leather affect" doesn't sound great for the inside of this. It sounds like a sponge honestly, and then there's that mechanism etc at the top to hold moisture.
I liked the idea of a film to install on the exterior window surface. Found this stuff, no experience with it at all, just an idea; https://www.decorativefilm.com/exterior-films

It's pure PVC with a leather embossed texture. It also comes in smooth and white or off white. Not much to rot or rust and cheap enough to replace often. Also order cut to fit.

Film isn't an option. 759NRNG wants the ability to open the view for his cat. Cat is 21 years old. He's earned a throne with a view.
Those vertical blinds look pretty good!
I can't find mention of a cat in this thread. Maybe there's another window for the cat to look out of. I still think having the mechanism & related box on blinds is going to be a funk trap but whatever. This thread got weird in the middle.
