How about a bacon cake?
Yellow cake with bacon mixed in the batter, maple frosting, topped with more crispy bacon. It was actually pretty good. It is an interesting experience to eat cake with bits of bacon in it. I am going to try it again tomorrow morning, I think it would be better suited as breakfast food.

When I eat bacon, I always make sure to have a cup of black coffee by its side. Something about the two work very well together.

I can see bacon/pepper in cornbread or pancakes, but cake? I don't know.. sounds a little weird to me.

Bacon on top of chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream is now a semi-annual ritual in our house (burfdays,) and mamma made chocolate/almond/bacon thingies for our anniversary. Scoff all you want, Sweet + Salty = Win. Always.
