I get summoned twice a year it seems, writing "STUDENT, studies 150 miles from here"(paraphrasing heavily) gets me out of it. Even if I could show up they would kick me out for thinking too much.

That will never happen for me.
All of my peers are in the same boat I am, we can't afford to take time off to be stuck on jury duty.
I've been called twice, picked once and then they decided that they didn't need me after all.
The first time I was called, I wouldn't have been eligible because I have prior knowledge of the scumbag, ambulance-chasing lawyer the guy was using.
The second time, they didn't want me because I worked for a living.
