So, I looked out sided this morning.
Sure glad it's Spring and that we have Global Warming. Otherwise, I'd be concerned because IT'S STILL SNOWING. And I switched the Rolla and Camry to Summer tires last weekend. Guess I'll be swapping the Rolla back to my Graspics or I won't get to work tomorrow.
up here , ya know ...north of you, it was 54 this morning, and the sun is now coming up...not trying to rub it in or anything

OK, I have to do it- SoFla 70 degrees, sunny, breezy.
I wish I had some of that snow. I'm at Sugarbowl Ski Resort near lake Tahoe where the snow is rapidly melting and the high is 55.
Anyway, global warming refers to the rise in the average global temperature. As it happens weather systems change and some places get warmer at certain times of the year and some places get colder at certain times of the year...
I woke up to snow in East Texas today, never had a white birthday before.
Nephew in Fayetteville reported 6 inches and still snowing hard...then he called me old so there is some question of his validity.

Every time the weather here changes by 30+ degrees in a day I wish I lived near the Puget Sound, the climate up there seems so mild. I look at the monthly averages and record temperatures for towns like: Bothell, Woodinville, Issaquah, Enumclaw, Puyallup, etc...
Pekin,Il; record low= -27, record high= 113 with more rain but less snow than Seattle with Pekin receiving just 2.2" less precipitation.

C'mon. Thats to be expected in this part of the country
It's still coming down. This is actually more snow than I've ever seen here in 9.5 years and it dumped all at once. Had a power flicker that left me a bit concerned, and reminded me that the batts in my UPS here in the computer room are dead.
Jay, do they even know what the white stuff is down there? Do they still speak any Nederlands?
Silly people, it's global "Climate Change" now.

Hehe, everyone knows what snow is... from TV. I've discussed a few times what it's like to walk through with people who have literally no idea what the texture of snow should be. I suspect most people here would have a heart attack if they had to go out in it in person.
The cutoff age for speaking Dutch down here seems to be about 50-60. Still lots of small influences from the colonials though. (Frisian Flag milk products, the Holland Bakery chain, etc.) The flag airline, Garuda Indonesia, has picked Amsterdam as their first European direct service next year.
Yup, here in Tulsa and looking at all this snow as well.
It was 75 and sunny on Friday. Saturday was snowing and 29.
We had a weekend like this last year too. Snowed 6-8" on Saturday, then warmed up into the 60s and sunny the next and melted it all off.
I'm so glad I got RT-615 clad SSRs on the E30 last weekend. Hopefully it will have cleared up by Tuesday.
Sorry to see that Hess, but better you than me! Low sixties here yesterday, been riding the bike steadily for well over a month and 1/2, and haven't used the snowblower in two!

It's been "Climate Change" for 22 years. The Intergovernmental Panel on CLIMATE CHANGE was established in 1988.

Still snowing here. We must have 14" now. I swapped out the s-Drives for the Graspics, dug two tire tracks up my driveway (~200') and made it up to the road. At least I'll be able to get to work tomorrow. And tomorrow, it's supposed to be in the 50's.
Jay, I bet when they see white like that, they think "Uh-oh, the mountain blew up again."
We actually had a little snow up here today in Vermont. Still typical spring like weather here at the moment. I'm never surprised to see snow up here unless we are talking late may to mid september.

Hess, you got what hit us yesterday. I am pretty sick of this. I didn't mind snow when I lived in CO, but one of the advantages to moving back to OK was this was supposed to stop. In friggin March of all things. It stopped yesterday afternoon for us, today its windy but clear(ish)
