That ended with Ghostbusters 2, for me.
RIP Mr. Ramis, fellow Wash U alum. I fly the crimson and myrtle at half mast for you today. Thanks for all the funny.
Dammit. I shall watch many of his movies in his honor. He will be missed.
Oh and happy birthday to Abe Vigoda.
I 've seen him around town periodically and last saw him a few years ago. I mean in person. He gained a lot of weight and did not look well. I was sorry to read this because, despite his great body of work, he got better as he got older. "Groundhog Day" is a brilliant movie regardless of genre. If I'm flipping channels and it's on, I have to watch it to the end. It doesn't matter how many times I see it, "Groundhog Day" is great storytelling. Man, this sucks.

Old Abe is 93 years young today.
Anyone know if it is real or fake? I've seen both going around! YAY INTERNET!

I need to watch Groundhog Day again. When I saw it when it came out I was left thinking it was a good idea for a movie, but poorly executed. Maybe, I just didn't get it right the first time. Looking over some of the movies he wrote, it seems that Bill Murray owes the man the most. Ramis wrote some of the classic comedies.
"Stripes" is a timeless classic in my opinion. Funny stuff. Thanks for the laughs, Egon. Happy Birthday, Abe.

I'm thinking this is real. This is why:
Chicago Tribune said: Mark Caro, Tribune reporter 11:50 am, February 24, 2014
Chicago Tribune said: Ramis, a longtime North Shore resident, was surrounded by family when he died at 12:53 a.m. from complications of autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis, a rare disease that involves swelling of the blood vessels, his wife Erica Mann Ramis said. He was 69.
BullE36 M3 Website said: On Sunday (February 23) the actor's reps officially confirmed that Harold Ramis is not dead.
