Diminished value on a commuter utensil like a Versa is not going to happen.
If it is repaired correctly, you will not get diminished value, and even if it were not, they will never go for it.
Sounds like I'm keeping the Versa. Which in reality is probably for the best since my automotive ADD kicks in pretty regularly. My estimate based on online appraisals and knowing some market data puts me at about $2K loss with having the amount of paintwork and repairs. The only upside is, the body shop doesn't report to CarFax but i'm not sure if the insurance company does.
