Did some work on the Toyobaru and an autocross:
Here are pics from our weekend at the Lime Rock Vintage Festival. First set of pics are from the Thursday evening block party in Falls Village. The car parade originated at the track and ended here:
Saturday racing:
(I met Tom and Nicolle at the CM kiosk above).
And then there was the Car Show on Sunday:
This is an interesting pic above because the car owner had done a few laps during the lunch break on Saturday. I saw it and it was spectacular. A great 910 and well-driven. That night Annie and I dined at the bar at "Woodland," a popular restaurant in Lakeville. Well, turned out that the guy that came in and sat next to us at the bar was this car owner who drove it so well during the lunch break. Nick Soprano. Look him up. He hasn't raced in years, but he said that the short stint on-track brought back the "red mist." He may be racing again.
(Tom Cotter telling one of his many stories between awards).
Kids hockey game last night, continueing to reassemble the jeep, and a 5k tomorrow morning for SWMBOs employer. I will be walking it with the dog, so non competitive.
Doughnuts. This weekend I am doing doughnuts. And not the loud, smokey kind.
Since 2017, we've been responsible for the "Holy Doughnuts" booth at our parish festival. Last year, I got the church to buy a used Belshaw Adamatic Donut(sic) Robot Mk II and this year I got one of our parishioners who has a catering business to let us use his big mixer. With that mixer, we can prepare 12 pounds of the dry mix at a time so that the robot's hopper never runs dry. Yesterday that robot ran non-stop for 7 hours, dropping two doughnuts every 9.5 seconds for a production of just about 5,300 doughnuts. Our previous single-day record was back in 2019 where we cooked for about 12 hours and produced 4,368 doughnuts that were about 15% smaller. We only ordered enough mix to make about 9,900 doughnuts, give or take, so it is entirely likely that we completely run out by 2230 tonight and are done until next year.
Installing my new dishwasher, then taking my 6 year old grandson to his first stock car race. 100 lap streetstock shootout tonight.
Painting cedar siding, Costco run, Capri Sun drink w/dog, dinner w/wife, Sunday church, Baptist nap, Indy car race and snacks for dinner.
Last night after work, assembled 3 roll-around lockable cabinets for my wife's school.
This AM, got up at 6:15 to run 6 miles with some friends, then took AK2 to a local pancake breakfast fundraiser. Downloaded and installed latest version of LT1 data-logging sw. Worked on throttle cable brackets a bit. Checked status of baby bunnies who's nest I discovered while mowing the lawn last week.
Currently fighting the urge to go back to bed. IDK what I'm doing tomorrow.

Oh, my heart! We've had house rabbits for many years now. I love them to pieces, but wild rabbit populations can really get out of hand and destroy a garden in no time flat.
If you can spay and neuter them, they make great pets - provided you don't have a dog.
Lost a childhood buddy last weekend and went down to help his nephew get his Uncle's truck ready for the 4Wheel Jamboree. Cummins swapped F250.
Helped out at the local outdoor sports club open house. Tried AX throwing for the first time. It is kind of like darts on steroids. Way more fun than it should be.
I also had never tried a compound bow before. They are so cool. A fascinating combination of physics and engineering.
Currently waiting for the local 9/11 memorial run to come by. The memorial posters line both sides of the street for two blocks. I havent been for a couple years.
My middle son and I get the window regulators working and put back in, along with 95% of the rest of the interior, in his first/project car and I gave my first two Stick Shift Driving Academy lessons this morning.
Hummmm. Just spent 6 hours un clogging the main sewer line from the house to the street. Looks like a cracked pipe and some roots in the pipe are the issue. The winning tool was two 25 foot pieces of 3/16 green coated steel brake line that I connected together and used as a snake/hook/root cutter to pull all the stuff out. Calling sewer pipe lining Company's tomorrow for quotes to get it lined. Supposedly it fixes the problem permanently.
The good side of things is it is just a crack that the roots found and came through. No collapsed pipe.
Volunteered at DriveFest at Mosport, gawked at a ton of unicorns, also went for a bike ride around town.
Annie and I were at Harbor Lights in Warwick, RI, with our "oh-so fun friends" Tom (with the new WRX) and Janice, sitting around in the Adirondack chairs after dinner. Janice said give me your best laid-back pose, and this was it. To me, it looks like I just rolled a seven and that was my best expired look. But the wine would have been in my lap. Anyway, I'm still kickin'.
Attending to my dear wife as she recovers form back surgery on Wednesday .....while I sneak out and attend to issues on the DMaxx......y'all be safe

Managing the Coatesville Vintage Grand Prix, from setup at 5:00a to takedown at 5:00p.
We've got 47 cars and 33 motorcycles, almost twice as many as last year. A sellout field - wish me luck.
